Doctor Ester S. Stevens is one of the founding members and managing partners of SMH Organic Family Farms and serves in the role of CEO. She is also a United States Air Force Veteran who earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Ottawa University-Phoenix (2004). She completed a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology (2010) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Degree (2014) from Argosy University-Phoenix. Doctor Stevens has gained experience from inpatient and outpatient settings such as Luke Air Force Base Mental Health Clinic, The Youth Development Institute, Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, Aurora Behavioral Health, West Valley Family Development Center, Amy Houston Academy, and Peoria Unified School District where she has provided mental health services to ages ranging from early childhood to older adults. Those services included Psychosexual and Psychological Evaluations, Individual and Group Therapy, Family and Couple’s Therapy, Sex Offender Individual/Group Treatment and Sexual Victim Individual/Group Treatment, Substance Abuse Therapy/Groups, and Anger and Stress Management Therapy and Education Programs.
Due to Dr. Stevens background in the military and experiences with treating mental health she is passionate about the medicinal benefits of Cannabidiol (CBD) oil. CBD has been found to help in keeping the human body in balance, it aids the stomach and intestines by keeping inflammation down and modulates pain while helping to maintain a balanced mood. Research suggests the cannabinoids from CBD can stop the breakdown of anandamide “bliss molecule.” Research has also shown that CBD helps lower anxiety, relieve symptoms of autism, PTSD, and memory loss (Bongiorno, 2019).
Fred Stevens Jr. is one of the founding members and managing partners of SMH Organic Family Farms and serves in the role of COO. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Arizona University (NAU 1997) and obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Innovative Leadership from Western International University (2013). He is a licensed professional civil engineer in the State of Arizona and presently works as a Water Resource Portfolio Manager within the municipal government sector. As a Portfolio Manager he is responsible for forecasting and acquiring requisite water supplies for future population growth, while also overseeing water resource conservation programs. He also serves as a committee member on a state regional planning committee to help determine policy to access and deliver water banked in the Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa County aquifers of Arizona (AZ) during times of shortage. Mr. Stevens is passionate about conserving water across all industry sectors and believes that the industrial hemp industry may help provide a sustainable solution to preserving one of our state's most precious resources .
